From a Friend’s Wedding to a Hall of Fame After-Party

My career as a DJ began in one of the most personal ways possible: a friend trusted me to provide the music for their wedding. At the time, I could not have known how far that first opportunity would take me. One wedding became another, and every event taught me something new about reading a room, building energy, handling pressure, and creating moments people would remember long after the final song. Over time, DJ Dawn Patrol grew from a local passion into a professional career spanning weddings, festivals, athletic competitions, corporate gatherings, nonprofit events, and private celebrations across the country. What started with helping a friend celebrate one of the biggest days of their life eventually became a calling built around bringing people together through music.

One of the most meaningful milestones in that journey came when I was invited to travel to Canton, Ohio, and DJ the Hall of Fame after-party honoring Drew Brees. Standing behind the decks in a Saints jersey, surrounded by an energized crowd celebrating an unforgettable weekend, felt like a full-circle moment. It was the kind of opportunity that reminded me how much can grow from simply saying yes, doing excellent work, treating people well, and taking every event seriously—whether it is a friend’s wedding or a nationally recognized celebration.
